Dual Monitor Question

Hi,

I have a GTX 460 and I have:

One of the DVI ports going to my monitor (U2412M)
The mini HDMI going to my TV

Question is how can I make it so the PC recognises when the TV is on/off

The issue is that when the TV is off (I only use PC with TV sometimes, mainly use the U2412M), the mouse still goes over onto the TV ... even though it is off

Hope that makes sense

So what I want to know is how to make it so that the mouse stays on the U2412M when the TV is off, and stretches to the TV when it is on

Do you want extended desktop, where both will display different images, or do you just want them cloned?

Although it wont automatically detect whether the TV is on or not you could press "Windows+P" and set it to computer only when you're not using the TV.
