Last week I was shopping in Manchester's Arndale Centre and there was a Show stand it's was "EA" Electronic Arts they had 4 PS3's 5 Xbox 360's 2 of them with Kinect also 6 DS 3D's all showing off different games that EA do.

Fifa, Tennis, Car racing ones etc also an array of LCD & LED TV's
NO PC'S at all My Point was there was two of these TV screens displaying a rolling adverts between different EA Games and one of the adverts showed the Overclockers.co.uk Logo with the message

Equipment Provided By Overclockers.co.uk........
Has anybody seen anything similar? and I wounder what was provided as tobe honest the adverts wernt that great and only on for a few seconds the only reason I noticed it was I knew the Overclockers Logo slash up for 2 seconds at a distance so I went and took a closer look......

Maybe overclockers provided the screens in exchange for having the advertising up for the duration in which their stall is there?

I saw a EA stand in Meadowhall last Friday and it had the equipment provided by overclockers on. Thought it was fantastic publicity.

Hi There!!

Yes we are advertising in 4 different shopping Centres:

Bullring - Birmingham
Arndale - Manchester
Westfield - Stratford
Meadowhall - Sheffield.

We are working in conjunction with EA on their play4xmas tour in which you can simply "get in the game" We provided the system, monitor, webcams which they use for the get in the game feature. We appear on the TV screens and have banners.

It's nice that many people have noticed :) It's great to be recognised off the website.

This is an example of what they are doing : http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...03039118122.362286.12846768121&type=3&theater

you can choose a theme'd background from an EA game and have your picture taken. This was mine :D Didn't know it was Need For Speed the Run with the two girls. Along with that they are showing off New games and other little things.

Thanks! Great to know this has had an impact, we've had loads of reports from people out and about who have seen our logo or who were handed our flyers :)

Spend less on advertising, and more on a decent courier (dpd) :(.

I realise that is glib, but in all seriousness OcUK has always prided itself on good customer service, and I've always been a happier customer. DXSecure are doing more to ruin the good reputation you've built, for me at least. The 'free shipping to loyal customers' addition is the greatest customer relations thing you've done as far as I'm concerned. I've had 3 out of 3 deliveries with DX go wrong, their staff are rude, and sad to say it now makes me think twice when ordering

I have to agree with this.... I've had the exact same fail percentage with DX... I know some people haven't had any issues, but yeah still....

All things a side though, it is nice that people are noticing the adverts :)

Got to agree

for the ammount of bad comments on the forum alone it must be saving them a fortune not to change back otherwise the bad publicity wouldnt be worth it

even if there was a pay the difference option it would be better

The guy that delivers to me is great, when he comes in the afternoons he won't ring the doorbell because he knows my son is asleep and taps on the front door. I have had no problems at all with DXsecure in cambridge. Then again I haven't had any problems with any of the courier services ocuk have used.

I guess you all should just move to better areas ;)

I saw that too, thought it was a bit rubbish that it was all consoles, wish they'd had at least 1 or 2 PC's for the BF3 setup :(

Any courier that they use will be good in some places, and bad in others. If ocuk changed couriers every time there was a complaints thread nothing would ever get delivered.
