How do you snipe on this. I'm using the SV98 with 12x scope and straight bolt, and I don't seem fast enough to hit the target and counter the sway....

You need a lot of practice at sniping, even on still targets you need to aim slightly above people. For people moving, you need to lead the target prior to firing.

i just played a game where the enemy AT mines were clearly on the map...

and now AT mines only last 20 seconds after you die

well i thought that they were supposed to dissapear too but been on a mixed mode killercreation server for a fair few hours tonight and noticed 5 mines were still there after i respawned on davamnd peak, shame while i was stood there looking at them wondering wth was going on i got shot in the back lol

As for enemy mines showing up red no idea what they were thinking there thought i some kind of special mine vision lol

Despite the Stinger buff and Stealth nerf, it's still frustrating as hell trying to solo take down a chopper.

yeah man you've just got to stick with it,defo need to aim above there heads most of the time if you have the pull bolt on you should see the bullet in air so if your 2 high or low adjust next shot to suit.

all i do is snipe on this game but ive not played for a while as the last patch messed my game up i kept getting black screen crash mid game needed a hard reset to get out..

ive just tried now with the new patch and its laggy for me and theres not many servers showing, it might have something to do with the update coming live today???

He means he doesn't know how to hold his breath to stop the sway.

Oh and hardlocks are still present, assuming Realtek or PB need an update to get around this.

I find the last sniper gun is the best ( not the co-op unlock) seems the fastest and has very little bullet drop, though sometimes its just luck, like when i was trying to snipe a sniper on the cranes on firestorm, took a shot and the sniper stood up and i got a headshot

It is pretty hard getting the right combo of hold breath, hold scope over and target leading. Ive found that the bipod helps a bit. But then i use assault rifles with x6 scopes. Havent got many recon kills yet.

was in a server today, shot someone with my sv98, then was killed with a note saying no sniping. what a douche

I've just been playing recon with the M39 and ACOG scope. What a gun. It's brilliant.

And I have plenty,

, still annoying when you shoot and something gets in the way of your shot, whether it be a passing MAV or jeep... or TANK.

M39, isnt that the same weapon as the M14 from bfbc2? I loved it in it, though iirc it was an all kit weapon in bfbc2. Also used it an awful lot in delta force black hawk down.
