Hi y'all

I've turned my budget PC into a HTPC as I don't use it anymore. I want to be able to set it down underneath the TV with all the usual paraphenalia, without it looking like a bashed-up PC case that it does now.

I was thinking of getting some decent wood and making a simple case to store it in, with a nice finish.

Are there any reasons in not doing this? For either heat, or moisture, or... something else? Obviously wood is nowhere near as conductive as metal, so I'm wondering if there is going to be a lot of heat retained in the wood, making the components overheat.

Any ideas on helping out a mad man?

Shouldnt be a problem, im currently making my pc into a set of draws. Just get a cheap pc and cut the motherboard tray out.

Did that with a 486 a few years ago as it was perfect with passive cooling. PSU in bottom drawer with mobo in second and drives in the top The on/off switch came from a british leyland mini dashboard.
