MacBook Air - New ones due soon at all?

Hello all,

After playing with my girlfriend's iPad a lot I'm making the plunge to purchase a MacBook Air for my university work- however, are these due to be replaced anytime soon? I don't fancy shelling out £945 for the 13" only for it to be made somewhat obsolete in March!

Thoughts?

I am currently thinking about making a purchase but pretty certain I will wait until the next batch come out and purchase then.

Can't imagine they'll be a major update until ivy bridge is out around Q2 next year, although a small speed bump or similar is certainly possible before then.

It arrives in a few days. As for the above comment, sadly I am consistently dragging my girlfriend to the Apple shop on Saturday mornings to let me play on one...

I went for the 13". It might finally make me convert my desktop to a Mac if I am sufficiently impressed!

Jealous! I'm thinking about the same 13" laptop although if you buy from the bay you can get the US model which isn't a big issue although I think it brings the resale value down...

Let us know how you get on when it arrivs
