hey folks,

Right, it's about that time where I'm gonna drain the loop of my rig and give it a flushing and replace the fluid.

I'm gonna grab me some Mayhems Aurora, still deciding on whether to get, Gold/Ringtail Purple or Supernova.

I currently have some NZXT red LED strips lighting up my case, but I'm not sure it'll sufficiently do the Aurora justice, (although I could be wrong). So I was wondering if I was going to change out the Red lighting what do you guys think would provide good complimentary lighting to bring out the most of the Aurora fluids?

I would have thought some white LED lighting surrounding the res (if your res is on display through a window..... providing you have a window:D ) would set the pearls glittering and reflecting the liquids colour.

Best if MLwood could confirm that, he made the amazing stuff!:)

Well if it was me with your rig I would loose all the red lighting and put white lighting in so that the Mayhems pearlies get to play show horse:D

I could sit there and watch that stuff buzz around a res all-day!

Have you seen the videos Mlwood put about the Aurora fluids?

Either Nebula blue since your mobo is blue based or you could go for the pastel blue instead of the aurora as that will match your mobo better, then get pastel blue and black braided psu cables:D (IMO)

Or you could get the pink aurora and sport a pink and light blue theme.

Choice is yours at the end of the day. Turn the red led's off and put a bright white torch inside your case with the side panel on and see what colours stand out the most and decide which fluid will suit your taste and system?

I kind of want something a bit more contrasting. My first two fluids have been Blue, so i'd like to try something different. I'm moving away from the purple now as I think it's just too dark, even with the White lighting I'll put inside the case. The red LED's are definitely gonna come out. Im thinking the gold will just look awesome flowing through the system.

I'm in the process of shopping my new fittings as I'm planning on routing my tubing a little better, especially where the res feeds into the pump in the lower compartment.
Trying to figure out where Im going to put my new T-Line for easier draining... Do I put it under the res now? Or shall I put the T-Line after the pump outlet?

obviously gigabyte orange pastel is the best coolant ever, but if you insist on aurora, I'd either agree with cleeecooo and get the green aurora, or go for the gemini pink, just to be different :p

pink would look nice :D

heh I think i'll be sticking with the Gold... got it pictured in my head and I think I'll be pleased. One question though; my current tubing is 3/8" ID 1/2" OD. My compression fittings are suited for these, but I was wondering whether I could use 5/8" OD tubing? As long as the ID is still 3/8"?

with compressions you have to match the sizes exactly :(
