Xbox360 dashboard update, finally here?

god its such a hassle to browse things. instead of reducing the number of times finding things now its double the effort. i don't get why microsoft is pushing with the metro ui when its clearly unpopular and i don't see any benefits to it. with each dashboard update i'm using less and less features on the console and now even with longer loading times

It's a nice little update. I don't have an xbox but it looks like one of the nicer interfaces out there now.

Get rid of all the crap that half of the people don't want and will never use and it would be fine.
As has been said before - there's far too many adverts on this new dashboard. If you pay gold then you should have the option to remove them.

Y the hell when I turn the console off thru the xbox button it puts it on standby?? had 2 close it thru the settings menu.

Preferred the way it looked before, it looks a lot more cluttered now. Why can't I change themes? I really don't want a gloomy grey dashboard.

I was wondering where abouts you can change it so it's white/silver like in the preview images, don't think you can though as the themes part just includes the ones from the previous dash :/

I have decided that Lovefilm is rubbish, and that adverts get on my ****.

I could see how the last update could be considered an improvement, but this is just rearranging things... into a worse arrangement.

I did get on with the blades, they might not be the best now but if they'd updated them, maybe a theme similar to the button menu then i'm sure a lot of people would much rather have that.

Having some trouble downloading the new dash, net on my pc is working fine but my xbox is not having it. Anything i can do like dl it on my pc and xfer it to xbox somehow?

lovefilm is clearly not dedicated to this stream business. most of the movies they have must be over a decade long and stream quality is below acceptable. its quite a disappointment really. i think netflix when launched in uk might be better. i don't know how it is in usa though

What a junk POS this new dashboard is glad I am not renewing my gold sub MS are clearly aiming for the mass market Wii family audience & trying to position the 360 as a must have device in your living rooom Good luck with that & abandoning the core gamer as they obviously have done for a while now is going to cost them dearly. It would be easier to just make a dashboard with optional features not all this forced adverts/kinnect/streaming junk

I watch the US Netflix on my PS3 and the quality (plenty of HD material) and selection are great. It has more than enough viewing to keep me and the wife occupied. It costs $5 for the DNS service and $10 for Netflix each month but I can say that I'm really happy with what I've gotten value-wise.

Lol, I really don't know what's wrong with it.

Adverts... the only real advert in my mind is the one in the bottom right hand corner. I like, heck rely on the centre ones to tell me whats going on and whether it's worth my while digging deeper.

One click play. It's there. One click and I'm playing what's in my drive whether it's game or DVD.

TV. I love it. I've got my 2nd 360 in another room and I've used Sky Go for a while. I can't wait for ITV, 4, BBC etc etc.

Kinect. Times have moved on my friend. I want to play hardcore games but I also want to play with my family and guess what, they don't want to play Dark Souls. This new dashboard when my kids use Kinect is a huge improvement. It seems to be 'cool' to bash Kinect every opportunity but it works well with this dash and voice works well.

With this new dash update, if i have two 360's one downstairs, one upstairs, can I log into the same gold profile now without swapping profiles on a memory card?
