A Closer Look at the Red Bull X2011: What’s New?

One of the obvious stars of Gran Turismo 5‘s first DLC car pack is the new-and-improved Red Bull X2011, but until now, it wasn’t clear exactly what changes have been made to the car’s design.

To clarify, Polyphony Digital has outlined all of Adrian Newey’s updates, which mostly consist of modified bodywork that further improve upon his original creation. Here’s a few screenshots of what’s new – head over to the full x2011 page for all the details.

Jeezus!

Haven't played this in a year! Started a new save however, over from scratch, and I hope I can get into the game properly this time...

Yeah, I remember playing it when it came out for a week straight, but then it got pushed aside with my ps3 until just recently...

CE aswell... Glad I finally have got back into it :)

Gran Turismo 5′s Data Logger Soon Available to Consumers

After more than a year without any mention of Gran Turismo 5‘s real-world visualization capabilities (http://www.gtplanet.net/gran-turismo-5s-data-logger-visualization-tech-demo/), the novel feature has suddenly returned to the spotlight (http://www.gtplanet.net/gran-turismo-5s-real-world-data-logger-back-in-action/) with the debut of the Scion FR-S/Toyota 86.

The feature was recently shown off using the new car in a video from Japan, though there was still nothing to suggest it was anything more than a technology concept.

Apparently, however, that’s not the case, as U.S. GT producer Taku Imasaki reveals the feature will be “soon be available to consumers”. Mr. Imasaki also discusses the potential of digitized “celebrity laps”, which the feature will enable.

Keep an eye out for more details on the data-logging system closer to the official launch of the Scion FR-S next year. The new car has already been confirmed as DLC for GT5 sometime in the future(http://www.gtplanet.net/scion-fr-s-...loadable-content-playable-at-tokyo-auto-show/).

looks cool for the hardcore racing fans

what do you guys think?

Does anyone even play this game anymore? I seem to be the only one who's ever on it ( aside from Sydney )

I would play more but I tend to get bored quite quickly. Not only that, but the remaining trophies that I need are just downright depressing. I don't have the patience to finish the Endurance series, and I don't have the skill to gold every license and event. :p

I put a fair bit of time back into it over this last month. The double xp login reward and ability to save during endurance finaly gave me the motivation to play them, although I still dont like the look of the 24h A-spec races ;).

I do wonder if Its much faster to level up now when playing from scratch as it has double xp almost fromthe start (if you just log in/log out a few days before playing). I played game from launch and had to play a few events two or three times to get needed xp to progress.
