This is obviously supposing that you can talk about it and it doesn't break your protective custody or something....

I'm saying this because I just got back from the local tesco express where there was a guy who pulled up to pump 5, filled up with some petrol, got back in car, pulled up to the next pump. Filled up ten quid worth of petrol. Came into the shop. Paid for the second batch of petrol he got but not the first.....

How did you know he only paid for one? Were you behind him when he was paying?

I was in the queue when someone else told the guys on the till. But yeah I saw him pay ten pounds for one pump :p

So that or the guy reporting him was somehow trying to get out of paying....

I live in Glasgow, i'd be here all day if i was to start telling you all the things i witness.

for example this week.

several domestic assaults, one assault with a deadly weapon several thefts and god knows how many petty little things

Only one I ever saw was when I was a kid, I watched guy walk into to my local forbouys (I was probably buying sweets) grab a tin of quality streets, stick them under his coat and walk out.

Quite a few petty crimes - especially as I worked in retail for a while. I've also seen the tail-end of two armed robberies - one at a local jewelers when I lived in the UK, and one at a bank over here in the US. Both times the perps were in the process of "the getaway" when I showed up....car screeching away, people running around shouting etc.

Not a lot.

Couple of guys trying to sneak about £30 of beer through a self scan with a trolley by paying for some other stuff and dumping it on top of the beer. While I'm standing behind them in the queue.

Challenged them on it and they dumped the trolley with the beer and walked out with the stuff they paid for.

Later heard the muppet not doing his job looking after the self-scan tills was taking the credit for stopping some shoplifters from doing a walk-out with some beer...

Hmm too many too list.

Been victim of crime a few times:
3 attempted muggings.

I got bottled in a nightclub by a nutcase when I was 17, gave evidence in court and the guy was successfully prosecuted, but only had to pay me about £50!

When I was a student I found a burglar in one of my flatmates rooms! Unfortunately I initially thought it was one of my flatmates friends, so he or away (but without stealing anything).

Street walking is a crime isn't it? I have seen a fair bit of that, particularly learning to drive near the st annes estate in Nottingham- very skanky! In machester picadilly station one of the platforms used to overlook a street popular with prostitutes, so you could witness ho's getting picked up.

I have seen a fair amount of drug related crime, but I think that is so commonplace as to not be remarkable.

Saw a lad nick a pair of gloves from the post office last week. Did I do anything? No.

I considered it but glanced at the owner first, saw his expression, and decided not to. It didn't seem worth the hassle for him or me, and he clearly knew what was going on when a group of six neds came into the shop.

Well if you can call it a crime, a random drunk guy started shouting some stuff and then he kicked me really hard from behind.

I was 14/15 at the time, really did shake me, call me a wuss or whatever but I did find it hard walking on my own for a while. :(

I just watched, for no sane reason, Friday by Rebecca Black on YouTube.

I then watched the Brock's Dub version to balance things out.

Dodgy bloke in Paris tried to go for my wallet, I had a backpack on which got in his way.

His technique was 'bumping' into me, I knew instantly what he was up to. Gave him a dirty look, didn't have my keyboard to hand!

Anyway, I've seen pick pockets at work in various places, here and abroad. Scum.
