How long will my GTX 570 last me?

With the new 6 series cards due out next year, I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading?

How long will it be before my card will start to struggle to max out games? (roughly)

agree with silent... it will be like the GTX460/8800gt, last a good few years then you will need to upgrade.

The card is powerful enough to give great frame rates for the next year or so easily

That's really good news, I was hoping I wouldn't have to upgrade anytime soon since I only bought this mid this year.

570's rock man, over-clocked they will last 2-3 years minimum IMO

It depends what you expect from it, but as long as you don't expect a specific number of fps across the board for every title, then I don't see why it can't at least last another year, maybe two.

Well I game at 1920 res and can happily play at 40-60fps but my eyes tend to pick up stutteriness at about 30fps which I've not seen this card do yet even on bf3.

So aslong as things don't drop below that then I'm happy gaming . I do love my eye candy though haha

until the next console comes out a decent card should be more than fine.

Don't forget, If You want to make any electronics last keep the temps down !

prolonged 80-90c is too hot for long life of the card and motherboard !

By the time the 570 struggles to play the latest games you'll be able to buy another one pretty cheapily for an SLI setup.

this tends not to work tbh.

as it ends up being to much of a power drain and by the time you need the second card there is often a single card which is more efficient.

if you go two cards only real value is to do it quite early on

Depends if you want efficiency over speed. I doubt there'll be an affordable card out in the next 2-3 years which would surpass twin 570's for speed.

It's also a cost issue. By the time there are cards which will beat a dual 570 set-up a second 570 will be cheap enough to make SLI worthwhile.
