How to cancel TV Licence?

I no longer need a TV licence, how do I cancel it? I can't see a phone number to ring on the TV licence website

I don't need a refund, I just want to stop any future payments.

I wish it was trivial, but my TV licence is in a box somewhere so I can't look up the details.

Same thing.
As it say if you want to stop paying you need to cancel your direct debit at the same time.

Look up the direct debit on your online banking, I seem to recall that the reference is your license number.

To cancel mine I closed my bank account and opened one elsewhere as it was all too much rigmarole to do it properly.

You only need a TV licence if;

"You need to be covered by a valid TV Licence if you watch or record TV as it's being broadcast."
