Hey guys, I'm new to this. Purchased two OCuk HD 6850s and they arrived to day. Realised they didn't come with a CrossfireX bridge, I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to point me in the right direction of acquiring one?

I wasn't sure if a Crossfire bridge would suffice or I would need to buy a CrossfireX one?

Thanks! :)

Phone ocuk and I'm 100% sure they will send you some. Or ask in the customer support section on here.

got 2 6850's and a motherboard from ocuk. m/board is a asus crosshair 3 so u would expect that to have a xfire bridge. but nothin had to go to ebay for it.

The long connectors come with the motherboard. I detest how they supply the tiny ones with the cards which ends up having you to have no gap between the cards.

Some motherboards come with both an SLI bridge and a crossfire bridge.

SLI compatible motherboards come with SLI bridge(s).

Only a very small number of motherboards come with CrossFire bridges.

And you should fix your sig. as only 4 lines of text are allowed.

Not CrossFire connectors.

Long or short, they're only supplied with a very small number of motherboards.

They're not? then what are they, it says CrossFire on them. ¬_¬

Asus always usually supplied the long ones.

It seems to be luck of the draw these days as to whether or not you get one with the graphics card and it doesn't seem to be manufacturer or product related.

All 7 ATI cards I've bought in the past came with them but now they're not included with some cards either due to a shortage or cost cutting (penny pinching).

They really should come with the graphics cards as most motherboards don't include them.

Even if the motherboard does include one that doesn't help if you want to use CrossFire with more than 2 cards.
