Hey guys.

I recently purchased a Cyborg R.A.T 7 and wondered if anyone could suggest a good Big mat for me to use, i like to have lots of space and i cant keep using my wooden desk surface/

If anyone can make some good suggestions id be grateful.

Price range, about 10-20£ if possible, thanks again.

I actually think the price of the XFX is worth it for the wrapping around desk + Size, that thing is huge.

The roccat taito looks nice, but i have heard the RAT 7 is a bit picky with what mousemat it wants to fully register with,s hould i just stick to Cyborgs damn ugly mousemats or can someone say those claims are false?

Just received my Goliathus Extended. Its cheaper elsewhere though, but I love the surface! :D

edit: Sorry, I read the OP's post to my own liking. I found my old Steelseries pad to be great, one like this.

Holy mother... Now that IS a big mousemat... Jesus christ that might be a bit too big haha!

My desk isnt that bigggg D: still, looks great if i can find it within my 20£ budget, might go over to 25 if it interests me :D!

Thanks for the suggetsion

ive been using the goliath for about 6 months now great gaming mat..

the missis is getting me the scarab for xmas to try...

Ive got this and fair play its awesome. Ive had the boogie pad and I still prefer this. Well stitched edges and a fair thickness. Its not a bad size either, more than big enough for a RAT 7.

Have a look at Puretrak Talent.

Best mat I have ever used - better than Razer Exactmat and Boogie XL - by quite some distance. Not too expensive either, you won't beat it for performance and quality.....

I know this sounds kind of silly, but that mouse looks like a horrid eyestrain, id rather have something clean and simple than complex, i know thats silly coming from someone using a RAT 7 which is just a beautiful mess, it kinda just looks erghh.

Is there a black colour option?

it doesnt really look like that on your desk I took a picture once hang on....

If you still hate the look of it then fair enough, it's not nauseating but if you dont like it you dont like it. I dont think there is a black version no.

After that I would go for Razer Goliathus. I really wasnt impressed by the boogie bug at all.

It is a very healthy size however and it isnt much of a strain, but it doesnt really match what my other things look like, my desk is very light and my components (case, monitor, broadband, second telly) are all black so it looks really out of place if you knwo what i mean.

Razer goliathus I'd say then. I found the boogie bug to be a sort of one size fits all kind of mat....

What kind of games do you play? Fast paced fps twichers like QuakeLive? Or something in the middle like L4D or stuff like GTA or something?

Games i play competetively online are Battlefield 3 (More casual) TF2, League Of Legends, Unreal Tourny, Dystopia (Hl2 mod all about twitchy fast paced shooting)

So really its a mixture of single, casual and hardcore games.

I'd get a control version then as I assume you play with low sensitivity?

On a side note: TF2 pffff, play TFC !!

If TFC still had people playing it i would, last time i checked nada, i miss that game like mad and i can never find a populated server that isnt bots.

Well i play on a low sensitivity cause im using a crappy mouse at the moment, microsoft basic optical mouse, but i dont know if im gonna be playing on high or low so yknow.

Royston Vasey has players every evening and there are still pickup games often if you like a more competitive level of play.

If it is the Microsoft Intell 1.0 or 3.0 they are up there with the best 'gaming' mice around for fast paced fps games. All the quakelive pros use the Intelli 1.0
