Anyone got experince with Debenhams online?

Well on the 6th i placed an order with them for my dads xmas present, Last 3 days ive been trying to call them and on hold for 30mins now thats a joke as far as im concerned surely atleast some one would have answered ??

Basiclly whats my next option? I cannt find any e-mail on there website to contact them on just a telephone number that they appear to ignore.

I ordered some clothes on the 4th and they arrived on the 8th. The confirmation email was quick, but the dispatch email arrived after the package was delivered!
 
I ordered a porcelain mug from them a few days ago. It came yesterday wrapped in a small layer of bubble wrap and a plastic bag... smashed to bits of course.

Just to try to find out more information on the order cause when i login no order history page but i got my order number etc money has left my account so was to just check up on it really.

Im going to give it more time just i think its stupidly slow..(Might be cause im used to next day and impaitent and its a present so want to make sure its all good)
 
Delivery times are hugely variable (I've had one order placed during the evening and arrive the next day, but another order take about a week). The online account area is useless, no order progress/status.

However, slow delivery side and lack of information aside I've never had a problem. I ordered some champagne flutes and wine glasses from them and they came really well wrapped without any damage.

I've used them numerous times, and find they often take 4 or 5 working days to deliver. They use local man-with-car distribution rather than directly by DHL/City Link etc.
 
The company I work for delivers debs.

We have taken on so much new business this year that our couriers are struggling a bit. Amazon is the main cause.

Chances are the courier is so busy that they are having to carry it over to the next day, or it could have gone to the wrong courier and has to go back and get sent out again which takes a couple of days.

U mite be able to track it if you call the Hermes depot local to you.

What have you ordered?

Did u pay for quicker delivery? If not, it's only been 3 days...

It's most Likly gone out today or monday for delivery.
 
We ordered a dinning room table from them that arrived damaged. Sent it back and they took a month to refund the money. This was after I spent hours on the phone on hold trying to get through to customer service. So im not overly impressed.
 
Used them a lot and only once did they come back to me a couple of days after ordering to say it was out of stock. Other than that delivery times are ok most of the time although they do split orders and the 2nd of two things I ordered arrived 3 days later.
 
I bought a duvet online from Debenhams. They sent me the wrong size.

I went to a store to return it, but they wouldn't take it off me as it was a reduced item. They told me to go to the Post Office and gave me freepost forms. I went to Post Office, they said it was too heavy.

Tried phoning for two days, first day had to give up as was on phone for over 30 mins, nobody answered. Second day someone picked up after half an hour. I now have to wait for some forms to tell me when a courier will come to collect. I am not confident this will be resolved this side of Christmas..

Debenhams customer service is a complete joke.
