Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [9th - 12th December 2011]

Arsenal 1-0 FT...was getting a bit worried if we would win this game, gets us into the top 4 for the first time this season:p

Unbelievable goal from RVP though but still should have smashed Everton by 3-4 goals at least...we were pretty wasteful in the first half :/

If we're not going to play Carroll alongside Suarez regularly then we've got to sign a striker to play alongside him in January. He/we are creating some great opportunities and getting into great positions but all too often there's nobody in the box, and when somebody is there, we're wasting the chances.

Before today we had the 2nd worst (behind Wigan) chance conversion rate in the league and that can only have got worse after today. Maxi could have had a hattrick today.

FT Norwich 4 - 2 Newcastle

Woohoo! I'm so impressed with how Norwich are doing in the Premiership this year, I thought we were pretty certain to drop straight back out again but we've been holding ourselves pretty solidly in the midfield so far this season.

Great stuff.

And not forgetting Wigan beat WBA 2-1 to climb out of the bottom 3:p

Cheets must be dancing in absolute joy :D

The pass from song makes that goal even more special:

Not as extravagant as the Charlton one but still a great goal.

Good effort today by the lads considering we were playing with 2 right backs in central defence (1 who isn't even championship standard) and still not got Tiote or his backup!

We were the better team at 3-2 and were unlucky not to get back in it even with 10 men. Hold your heads high lads you tried hard and could have got a result!

Shows what I was saying at start of season is true though, we really lack squad depth. The players have done their part this season, Pardew has done his bit and now it's down to Cashley (yeah we are ******) to do his part in January and support the team.

Onwards and keep going lads!

I was worried when it was 3-2, you were all over us and we couldn't get out of our half against 10 men. It looked the only way we would get another was through a set piece, luckily enough we did.

Was a great game and I think you chaps will stat up off your home form, tough team to beat at Carrow Road!

Just gutted we didn't quite manage the equaliser, with 11 men we might have nipped it. Team was bit too weak today though. :(

Well done Norwich on a good match! :)

Need to score more goals but the defence played well again. Think it's fair to say Carragher's days as a first team player are over and we're far better off without him given his decline over the last 3 years.

Very impressed with Adams today. Started off slowly but got more involved as the game went on and put in a great cross for the goal. Still needs to improve his positioning, passing and movement and lose 4 or 5 stone.

BOOM HEADSHOT!!!:D

Cracking goal by RVP, indeed not as extravagant as the Charlton one he scored a few yrs back but dear god that was a scorcher of a goal.

RVP is just 3 off Shearer's record of 36 EPL goals in a season too...hopefully he will smash that record too.

Love the pic of Chessers kissing the left boot of RVP:p
