How do I backup my PS3 trophies?

Hi there.
Is it possible to save or backup my trophies information on my PS3 other than just syncing with the PlayStation Network?
I was about to transfer all my Account data, games and saves from my old chubby PS3 onto a new 320gb model but noticed that process doesn't seem to transfer trophy data and I would rather have not solely have to rely on the PSN to save all my trophies.

I think syncing them is the only way. It's tied to your PSN ID so I doubt you're going to switch to a new console and then realise all your stuff has been lost.

syncing them is the only way. make sure u do one last sync on your old ps3, then once you have setup your new ps3 with your account etc, as soon as you goto view the trophy list it will download them to the new ps3

. I didn't know download them to the console. I thought lost to the PSN.
