You're a mod for one post - what do you do?

You don't treat people differently but you've obviously noted it enough to pick a specific member for their post count. :p

It's a fair point that post count is no indicator of post quality or the persons ability to contribute to a discussion but if you ignore the post count anyway then what difference would removing it make?

Postcount is more of a weapon that people use against me than any salve to my ego tbh......could do without it.

Do fairies need more moderation than other people? Are we talking about the mythical creatures - Tinkerbell and the like? Can't they be trusted to behave?

He's somewhat difficult to not notice. But yes, I do generally ignore. I think it would be better if it was done away with really. It's something that should be for your own record if you want it and off by default.

I'd ban Tummy for supporting a rubbish football team, and make a post explaining that he supports a rubbish football team.

What do you mean? Remember you're a mod so you can be open and forthright without being personal or abusive (mods - play along, please, ta)

The whole jumping on the bandwagon idea that snowballs or seems to in a lot of threads, people won't read the OP or what not, but because one person posts "lolstockhausen" for example, everyone else jumps in.

I just find it frustrating when someone will make a comment, or what not, that's perfectly valid, then the thread turns on them. I'd like to add this happens a lot more in GD.

I'm not so sure that will make sense though haha!

I have no problem with banter, I have no problem with shooting down a moron, but it's when it's undeserved. Actually, a bit like the Justin comment to me in a previous thread, I think those throw away comments are pointless and belittling et cetra.

Also, some of the moderators who join in the bashing, I remember bringing the bullying thing up in a stockhausen thread before to a mod, and was basically told, it's not bullying until the OP complains, Really? Christ on a bike.

Anyway, me attempting to make a serious point in what's probably a sarcastic thread.

I also, don't think the moderators will appreciate me saying this :D As apparently I'm fairly unpopular with them all.

This just got serious...

*Steps away slowly*

I would close the forums for entire duration of me being a mod. Purely to stop these GD "which direction do I turn my screwdriver to loosen a screw?" or "how do I grow a pair and tell her it's over?" threads, and show people there is actually an outside world past their front door.

Demote the mod that gave me a 'holiday' from these forums for a really stupid reason, he was trolling and deserved the comment. The thing that got me the most was that the thread was dead anyway and i posted it 2 weeks before i got a suspension!! Was he so board that he trawled all the way back then? It must have been on page 10 or something by that point!

So yes, i would demote permanently and suspend the mod for the same time period for being such a sad individual
