The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

So annoyed i couldn't get the murder quest at Windhelm to trigger. Seems this is a major glitch affecting lots of people. Had to use console to enable me to buy the house there and become thane. Needs patching soon. Despite these little niggles still GoTY by a mile :D

Came across 2 people and a bodyguard on the way to High Hrothgard (sp?), just before the town before it. The guy called me a peasant, the girl called me skyrim trash.

They had to go... the Bodyguard tripped and fell on a Fire Rune, the guy had an unfortunate accident with 2 jets of fire and the girl got in the way of a Flame Atronach.

I always try my best to not kill any named NPC's in these games but i did have to kill a few of the residents of Morthal, one saw me break in to his house and came running in, and even though i was hidden at the time and could have potentially crept out, i got behind him and slit his throat(sneaking is so fun in this game), then on the way out i tried to do throw voice but forgot i had it on unrelenting force and hit a guard so he had to go as well.

Actually the sneaking in my game seems to have gone wrong, i tried earlier to sneak through some ruins and the forsworn were seeing and hearing me from miles away when it was pitch black and i was wearing the ring of peerless sneaking and the nightingale armour, which are supposed to make your footsteps muffled so you can't be heard at all! Plus i have around 90 sneak skill

Finally after pondering about for 50+ hours i've gone and visited the graybeards and done away with my first encounter ;)

Pack mules - sorry i mean companions dont half make a racket sometimes ??

Is it possible to be good at everything in this game, or is it a better idea to concentrate on either magic or warrior?? I think I need both, but im not sure if I should be concentrating on perfecting one or the other? Lol

Personally i haven't used any companions in the game at all, it is strange that suddenly i can't sneak because a few hours gametime ago i could pretty much do anything without being seen.

^^I am pretty good at everything i would say and i still have quite a bit to do, i have only really levelled up destruction magic-wise though. I do have 100 Light Armour/smithing/onehanded/archery/lockpicking. over 70 in most other things as well. I prefer playing as a bit of everything.

Can anyone give me some tips on enchanting? I've avoided it so far, because of people saying how OP it is but I've got some ebony weapons I want to improve.

So what enchanting perks (if any) are worth getting? The final perk looks pretty sweet, but I can only boost my enchanting skills up to about 50 ATM.

Found out today that an item that I assumed was bugged and couldn't be dropped, was actually used for a second time within another Dungeon, linked to the a quest in the same series of quests.

Therefore be careful about deleting items with console commands.

anyone who does that deserves a slap then. if you try and drop an item and it tells you it's for a quest, it's probably for a quest and certainly shouldn't be deleted :P

It can be rather fun. I've improved an Ebony bow and then enchanted it with a Soul trap enchantment. When you add in the extra damage perks to Archery it is quite common to kill with one shot - voila another Soul harvested muhahahahahaha... :)

I killed a blood dragon as part of a mini task and it didn't disintegrate (thus I couldn't absorb the soul :()
First one I've come across (fought another one in a town and it was okay)

Seems most common where you have a respawn at a site: the first dragon is fine, but later ones sometimes don't break down.

Yep. I don't think it's a random bug. If you've killed a dragon at a specific location and it respawns there's a good chance you wont get the soul.

Also re: encumbrance. Park your horse outside a dungeon. Clear the dungeon without looting anything. Then collect all the loot, walk out like an old man, mount your horse and fast travel.

With regard to the sneaking, it seems theres a bug where if it goes over 100 (with enhancements to the sneaking skill as well perhaps?, as you're on 90), it seems to get instantly worse. Some people reckon that it might 'rollover' when it shouldn't, and turn it into a very low level of sneaking :(

This doesn't happen with everyone, myself I'm fine.

Dragged out my lvl56 High elf as long as i could (137hrs since release ouch) and have done everything i can find except for...

1: Find 20 Jazbay Grapes (wtf are these things hiding, i found 10 in the whole play through :(

2: Find 24 Stones of Barenziah. I found 14 :(

3: Find 20 Crimson Nirnroot. Got around 8 and left the massive cave where they grow so this one is down to me being lazy about it.

Other than those, and companion quests which are now only kill this wild animal in this house and the Thieves guild jobs there's nowt to do :(

Suppose i could go on a massive murder rampage and eliminate the entire population of skyrim's towns & cities :D

Failing that. Going to restart with every mod i can muster and go full mage this time.
