Hi,

I know its not ideal but I need to use an IDE HDD as the main and the SATA as slave.

I have installed both, and put the jumpers on the IDE for main with slave.

I can see the SATA drive in bios and in device manager, however it does not show up in windows.

Any idea's?

Thanks

What motherboard are you using?

Does the motherboard show any options for the IDE port in the BIOS.

Does it appear in Disk Management?

Right click on 'Computer', select manage and then click on Disk Management.

If it does, but the space is unallocated, then right click on the unallocated space to format the drive and assign a drive letter.

Just cant see it in my computer

I'll say it again.

Does it appear in Disk Management? Not Device Manager or My Computer but Disk Management.

Right click on 'My Computer', select manage and then click on Disk Management.

If it appears, but the space is unallocated, then right click on the unallocated space to format the drive and assign a drive letter.
