***** The Official Fifa 12 Thread *****

in 8 or 9 days.

professional and then world class, hmm, im sure i had trouble on world class last time i played against the cpu.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't change in the final. I have won 3 on them and beat Real Madrid 6-0, Inter 3-1 and Barcelona 3-0. There is no way I can do that on World Class.

wow, just won the el classico then i went straight into the other gold tourney, lost to the most annoying player ever, used all his pauses up, used all the time when he paused, watched every replay, even at half time, didnt skip any of the replays, 2 cutbacks, wasted time from the 65th minute when he went up 2-1, had to go ultra attacking just to win the ball, when i did he broke me with his pace abusing team, bent, gabby, neymar, nilmar, hernandez, so trampy, he ended up with 74% possession, didnt know that was possible in a 90minute game, unbelievable what people do for a win, to top it off i had to wait at the end for the replays to stop, on the verge of rage.

in LAN tourneys, what rules are put in place so people dont time waste like that?

I faced a guy in the Semi's earlier with a Brazil Team. 5 or so IF's, Neymar/Marcelo/Naldo etc.

2 Tramp Goals, Beat me 2-1

What a waste of players !

Whats the score when the game freezes prior to a game starting? Im currently in a standoff, both at formation screen, its semi final of the 8000 coin cup. If i quit will i lose my DNF bonus and place in the semi's?

if you quit or turn off, yes you will, but i heard if you pull the ethernet cable, you don't.

please report back if that's true.

its a bug, it happened to me in play a friend, and i refused to reset the console, and waited for him to quit, 30 seconds later i got another invite from him and i was still frozen, therefore it does not matter if the other person quit's your still stuck.

i know its a bug because it happened in play a friend mode, he wasn't trying to abuse the game as many have suspected it to be.

this is what happens when you buy anything made by EA, this bug has been in previous versions too, you would think by now they would have fixed it, but it's been there for over a year now. i seriously doubt they will ever fix it tbh, which is a really sad state of affairs for their most popular game.

I've had it freeze on the formation screen a few times in a tournament. I always dashboard after a few minutes because I can't be bothered waiting around and I haven't yet lost my DNF or had it record as a loss but I did get kicked out of the tournament each time. Don't just take my word for it though :p

Edit: 4-0 up at half time, guys put his controller down, sigh.

Not patch on Stek though!

Stek is an inch taller, that's why Stek is better, but the difference is probably minimal, as Cech has better positioning iirc, Cech's stats are better because his kicking is really bad yet is still an 85 overall, whereas Stek has good kicking and is an 85 overall.

GK's OVR is taken from their GK stat's only and averaged on them. Therefore the usual rule is to use a combo of height and OVR.

Stek - 85 - 6'6
Cech - 85 - 6'5
Hart - 83 - 6'5

Seeing a regular theme occurring with good GK's in the game?

Positioning and Diving though is definitely the most important stat for saving finesse shots and the taller the keeper the more their "range" of saving is.

But for shots inside the box, i would say reflexes and diving are the most important.

Therefore for a well rounded keeper for saving all types of shots, high OVR and height is what to look for.

I've yet to try Liga BBVA, but im thinking Diego Lopez looks good, but unfortunately they have decided to give Valdes 91 Positioning (insane for a keeper) and Casillas 91 OVR. Therefore tbh, it's probably really tight between all 3 of them.

What height is Neuer? (wiki says 6'4 and a half, so maybe they rounded to 6'5 in game?) and he is 87 OVR (his IF version), therefore again he is tall and high OVR. but more importantly he has 92 diving and 88 reflexes, so basically he is probably the best shot stopper for shots inside the box in the game for sure, but for finesse shots, his 92 diving will make up for his 82 Positioning, so probably better than Stek and Cech for finesse shots or at least equal to them.

Stats on a keeper definitely do matter, but height is of equal importance.

Just played a guy who's Evra was pulling up with hamstring problems at 50mins, lol. Wonder what fitness he was on going into the game??

Speaking of which, what fitness level do most of you guys let it get to before you use a fitness card/rest the player?

I usually don't let it get below 80.

just bought Aguero for 100K, he better be as good as you guys say he is, otherwise i have no idea what im going to do.

I always play with a target man (6'4 minimum) which for the past 2 years has been Ibra and Dzeko and always built a team around them.

But Dzeko is clearly a class below Ibra, still the 2nd best target man in the game, but last year it was a lot closer between the two. Ibra is better than last year and Dzeko is worse than last year.

So im hoping by having a really good partner, it can make up for Dzeko's weaknesses, when i come up against a good player.

Also on IF Adam Johnson, i have found he is all left foot he favours it really badly, he only controls the ball with his left (other players use both) so he runs slower, cannot be played on the right (because the ball will be closer to the the opponent whereas on the left its farther away making it harder to tackler) and he is pretty much useless with his right.

he is good, but you really do need to know his style of play, basically never force him to use his right foot to control the ball or pass or shoot unless you have bags of space/time.

i have 2 teams and i rotate them every game. therefore the lowest fitness a player has which plays a match is 99.

i also never need to buy/use fitness cards.

a win win situation.

4-1-2-1-2 is ******* awful. I've never been so exposed and run through before. Gone back to 4-2-2-2, but all my players in the Clasico tournament seem to have done a Ronaldo and not shown up. My defenders are all over the place, my strikers leave balls they can run onto and score and my midfield is pretty much non-existant.

I've got Aguero and I'm trying SIF Van Pepsi who seems to be quite good, it's just getting them worked out, their little nuances.

With Drogba and Messi it was easy, Drogba would hold the ball and feed it through to little Messi on the run, while Messi was strong and skilled enough to hold the ball and get round his man quite easily to feed Drogba, or get it to Drogba's head.

Aguero is a bit weak at the moment; he just can't get round players like Messi, and Van Pepsi seems slow. Iniesta is much better than Fabregas, passing and movement is so much better.

Lost all my games so far today. I hate it - makes me miserable.
