Not patch on Stek though!
Stek is an inch taller, that's why Stek is better, but the difference is probably minimal, as Cech has better positioning iirc, Cech's stats are better because his kicking is really bad yet is still an 85 overall, whereas Stek has good kicking and is an 85 overall.
GK's OVR is taken from their GK stat's only and averaged on them. Therefore the usual rule is to use a combo of height and OVR.
Stek - 85 - 6'6
Cech - 85 - 6'5
Hart - 83 - 6'5
Seeing a regular theme occurring with good GK's in the game?
Positioning and Diving though is definitely the most important stat for saving finesse shots and the taller the keeper the more their "range" of saving is.
But for shots inside the box, i would say reflexes and diving are the most important.
Therefore for a well rounded keeper for saving all types of shots, high OVR and height is what to look for.
I've yet to try Liga BBVA, but im thinking Diego Lopez looks good, but unfortunately they have decided to give Valdes 91 Positioning (insane for a keeper) and Casillas 91 OVR. Therefore tbh, it's probably really tight between all 3 of them.
What height is Neuer? (wiki says 6'4 and a half, so maybe they rounded to 6'5 in game?) and he is 87 OVR (his IF version), therefore again he is tall and high OVR. but more importantly he has 92 diving and 88 reflexes, so basically he is probably the best shot stopper for shots inside the box in the game for sure, but for finesse shots, his 92 diving will make up for his 82 Positioning, so probably better than Stek and Cech for finesse shots or at least equal to them.
Stats on a keeper definitely do matter, but height is of equal importance.
