Twitterm famous people...

Are you just ignoring my comment relating to your Prison remark? That the number of people in this country not in Prison show that people can deal with life without resorting to crime?

Prime Minister "followed" like many other nations did.

You need to stop digging/Posting Jay.

You find your other half in bed with another guy and you're telling me you could discuss it over the breakfast table? lol

I don't think that is what I said, but setting aside that finding your Partner in bed with someone else is not really an everday disagreement, argument or occurrence, maybe you can explain what attempting to beat up, either the man or your partner would actually accomplish in the long term....

And in fact if you had been paying attention to your relationship, it is unlikely that your partner would either be cheating to begin with or if they were you would notice a change in their demeanour and be able to approach it in a more constructive and less destructive way.

Yes Tummy I am ignoring it, this thread has gone to far off topic over the last 4 pages, thanks, in part to me I'll admit that.

Why? Do they offer you a BJ?

Brilliant contribution there Lethal

Alright I guess this thread has gone way off topic.

Time to stop the trolling.

How is it trolling? I'm merely defending my opinion

You mean, you realise your argument doesn't have any foundations?

Pleased to see you've decided to stop digging :)

some of them will be in character and be getting paid for tweets by advertising companies etc.

twitter is a large money maker for famous people with a lot of followers and it wouldnt even suprise me if half the time it wasnt even them making the tweets but a pr team

You can easily tell the accounts that are not updated by the celebrity. Its the bigger celebs that do this, like Eminem and Dr Dre for example. I cant think of any more as i don't follow bigger celebs but i'd imagine a lot do the same.

The smaller B? list celebs mainly run their own. Such as Nathan Fillion and Felicia Day for example. They often post twitpics they have just taken and talk to each other over twitter, so its obvious they do.

Also regarding birthday wishes. You do realise they will be getting thousands of these a day, their entire twitter feed would be filled with it. They would have to quit their acting career and spend 12 hours a days replying to birthday wish requests.

jay794 don't you dare reply to that. Get back on topic

But it's so tempting lol

You're right, whether I've made my point or not we probably should get back on topic.

I never really understood Facebook or MySpace for ages, people kept asking me what my Facebook page was, finally I got one and now I'm on it all the time, no idea why though, I never play games or anything on it, but it's useful to talk to my brother who lives in Australia or see what old school friends are up to.

Twitter - Like someone said, it's a good way to keep up to take with news (and what celebs are up to, if you like that sort of thing)

spend 12 hours a days replying to birthday wish requests.

Kevin Smith is on Twitter for 12 or more hours a day lol

Or at least his various assistants and publicists are.....:p

No, it's well known (or at least) he talks about practically living on twitter all the time. It's free publicity, and since he doesn't exactly make films anymore what better way of publicising his radio show

While I am sure he contributes significantly, it is highly doubtful that he spends 12hours a day glued to twitter...I suspect that the majority of media updates, publicity updates and mediacentric tweets are made not by him personally, but by the relevant person in his team.

If you knew who he was or followed him on Twitter you'd know that he IS on Twitter all the time, he has so many different accounts on there, and only one assistant

Haha...I know exactly who Kevin Smith is and have been a fan of his work since seeing Clerks back in '94.....He certainly doesn't eschew having publicists and that Meghan Quinlan also has a team behind her is not exactly a secret.

I think you are being naive if you think that Kevin Smith personally makes every contribution to his twitter account and if he spent 12 hours a day purely on twitter he would do nothing else, which is glaringly obvious that is not the case....given his general Proclivity toward blogs, podcasts, his radioshow, comicbooks, not to mention his children and his Wife, it would be impractical to expect him to be fawning over his Twitter account 24/7 despite his tongue in cheek staements to the contrary. I wouldn't take what people say quite so literally if I were you.
