Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [9th - 12th December 2011]

I don't know, I missed the first half. People have said on here that the first player to handle the ball was a Spurs player though.

Can't quite remember but I think Gallas got his hands on it before Crouch did. It was a stupid goal to concede anyhow.

Hilarious ref performance though. Thought Modric was possibly a bit divey for the pen but Spurs should have at least drew tonight.

Stoke play utter terrible football.

Thought a draw would have been a fairer result, but Stoke capitalised on a terrible first half display from Spurs.

Modric, exaggerated his contact, it didn't take him down but could well have thrown him off, it was definite contact, had he just stumbled a bit the ref still should have given it.

The ref though, horrific, laughable performance, what was it in the space of like 10 seconds, a tug from Shawcross on Defoe which frankly was a red and penalty, seconds later he saved it with his elbow, another penalty, maybe a red, might have been going wide and should have hit the guy behind him anyway and probably not gone in. Then ruling out a clear as day onside goal, laughable really.

Spurs got screwed because at that point one way or another it should have been 2-2 at that point with Spurs by far the better team at that point.

Overall Bale and VDV were completely useless and one of them should have been replaced a LOT earlier. Bale just refused to pass, lost the ball or delivered an awful cross for 99% of what he did.

Extremely poor first half and we definitely can't defend against set pieces, especially the epic 5 minute long throws. Modric 'threw' us a lifeline although Stoke player did connect it was just a little delayed so for sure a dive I'll admit. Then it was all about Chris Foy, seriously how will he sleep tonight when he sees all that on replay. Disgusted !! Cost us our run of form in my opinion !!

Think he'll sleep fine having gotten his xmas bonus early from Stoke after the game ;)

It's not even a marginal offside decision, it's blatantly onside !

I'm a Stoke fan? :p

You were the 1 pointing to decisions that went against Spurs but completely ignoring the decision that went your way :o
We got "ONE" decision and even that was a penalty, there was clear contact, Modric wrong footed him, he stuck his leg out, too slow and clumsy and it's a pen. Had it been Suarez I'm sure arms would have been thrown out with a triple pirouette as he's brandishing the imaginary red card mid-air ;)

Spurs were very clearly robbed not once or twice but several times, even you can't deny that surely??? :o

To top it off we get a man sent off that was so soft it's laughable, it was stoke would should have finished a man down. So instead of it being 10v11 it finshed 12v10

Surprised Foy did this match as he was the ref who shafted Stoke in this fixture last season. He got probably every big decision wrong.
