Firmware Version 5.23.1a4N by any chance? there's a 24 that fixes wireless problems. So it was discussed on the Sky forums.

Just checked the router settings for the firmware- 5.14.6.1a4N so dont think so. shud i upgrade firmware version though?
I see there is a on/off switch on the back of it. With the power plug plugged in and turn on. Can I save power by hitting the Off button

cheers

Can you manually update them? (I mean obtain the files) the last I read on the Sky forums you have to wait on Sky rolling out the updates...

says Sky roll them out, but I've never tried here...might have to see!
mine is on 5.14.6.1a4N and it was deffo earlier than that before..so I guess they must roll them out from time to time

wireless N on that router is 150MB/s not the full 300 also I connect to it in the same room at 80MBs, give and take abit. also my dropad 7inch tablet struggles to connect to it athough my htc phone and netbook connects great with it, dropad has poor wifi.

also the 5.14.6.1a4N is the same as mine which I have had since Feb/Mar this year and get :-) DownStream Connection Speed 23994 kbps.

I think I'd rather live in a house than the exchange though....lol

The connection seems to have gone down to 3 bars again. any1 got any tips on getting it back to 4? tried movin it a li closer.

it could be that cause off its age one off the LED's have gone to bulb heaven, have you got a wi fi signal Strength meter to test if ok the wi fi signal ?

PS just get a laptop with wi fi and test the Strength from that. if good signal then ok, if not well new router. and a router with non working LED's does not mean at all the wi fi is going to signal heaven soon :-)
