Hey all,

Would I noticed much of a difference going from 2x GTX260 in SLi to a single GTX470? I'm sick of just scraping 20fps in STALKER: Call of Pripyat.

Cheers! :)

Hmmm in terms of fps not much in it tho it should manage a little better in stalker than 200 series SLI the only real difference going from GTX260 SLI to a 470 is the smoothness due to the more consistant framerate the 470 manages.

The 470 does manage a lot better with some of the more advanced shader options in STALKER tho so it might be better unfortunatly don't have the game installed atm to test.

Since you have been using old cards for so many years, why not just wait for a couple of months longer until the 28nm cards are out? 40nm cards are near EOL now.

Very true. Will that be the GTX6 series? I can't really afford anything right now anyway, was just really to see if it was worth it.

Bumping an old thread. Just wondering if a GTX560ti 2GB would be OK to get? My SLI has a microstutter thats doing my head in in Skyrim, For £200 would it be worth selling the two 260s? I ask really becase the GTX6xx are months off and will be £350+ no doubt...

Go to your Nvidia control panel, programs under performance, turn off adaptive performance, hopefully fixed.

But I concur, this is exactly why I advise against SLI.

It's here. You may need to browse for the game's executable :)

Ah you have the extra bit installed, can't remember what it's called. It's sort of like nVidia's own enhancer IIRC.

Can you remember it's name?

EDIT: It's nTune you have, which I've now installed but it BSODs my PC :(
