4S scratched screen

My own fault, never use a case etc.

It fell off the sofa last night during some sexy time with Mrs Nathan then I proceeded to stand on it and slide it with my feet across the oak floor.

This has resulted in 2 significant scratches across the screen

Can it be polished out? Perhaps Jeweller's rouge?

Failing that, how much does apple charge for a new screen?

no, not yet. I have not tried anything, just tried forgetting it was there however it did not work haha.

Toothpaste may work on glass I suppose

You can buy a replacement screen off the bay and change it pretty easily.

Any abrasive compound as suggested will take the anti-reflection/anti-fingerprint coating off and it will look worse than just being scratched.
I believe you can buy the replacement glass with digitizer for around £40, maybe less (you don't need to replace the screen!).

I'd suspect that's for a new retina display rather than just the glass front, although knowing Apple's prices I could be wrong!

As far as I'm aware, the screen and display are stuck together and apple say they have to replace the whole thing.

This - the glass, display and digitiser are bonded together and all have to be replaced.
