Gaming PC Spec Advice

I want to point out something. If you play games like Shogun Total War, you need more Vram, especially if you have a high resolution monitor. Also BF3 on large multiplayer maps eat Vram.

So make sure you look into that. I think 2gig as a minimum for those kind of games if you want to play with high levels of detail on high resolutions.

Actually for best performance in games like Shogun 2 people need AMD card, not just a matter of more vram. That game is an AMD game, so highly optimised for AMD card that GTX580 is only performaning on par with the 6970- and I'm talking about GTX580 3GB. But to be honest, I seriously doubt there are anywhere as many people playing Total War games in comparison to FPS games, since it is much more mainstream.

unless there's a particular reason you've gone for the ud3p over the ud3 can save £30 by getting the z68xp-ud3 motherboard instead.

just a heads up the ones that say 'this week only' end tomorrow morning/afternoon when new 'this week only' offers will be available(the offers change every Wednesday), so if not buying tonight might be an idea to post just before you're ready to order.
