Modern Warfare 3 made $1 billion in 16 days

It's your standard hype for a game that really isn't that good, just a repackaged version of a previous game with a few tweaks and skin changes (even the damn menu was the same but a different colour...).

Agreed.... Same game different script.

Activision sure know how to hype the games.... Unlike EA who often fail at living up to the hype
 
The thing is, we dont do proper wars - ours are just faggot wars going in as some sort of police type thing, then helping the country get back on its feet.

However if we went balls in on say idk Sudan, that has loads of oil.. take the country over and thus its resources are ours, the warfare = profit, surely?

At the same time, we remove 1 country from the Lenny Henry handout fund so even he can be happy.

At its price it only needed to sell 12 million copies to gross $1 billion, that's in the same league as Avatar allegedly setting box office records because its tickets cost 2x-50x the price of the competition lol.

Havn't a clue how its made so much this time around.

Seems like it's release went almost completely unnoticed around here.

Only place I've seen it advertised is on bus shelters.
