Like I've already posted, if the yob had fallen and hit his head on the floor and seriously injured himself or even worse, what would happen?
Chances are the Big Man would be arrested and charged with assault occasioning ABH so up to 5 years in chokey. Possibly GBH but it would be difficult to prove intent.
Society has gone to the dogs? I for one think that we're in a pretty privileged state. However continue with your bleak outlook on life, I'm sure it'll make you very happy in the long run.

Sigh, nevermind. You know what I'm getting at.
It's certainly not GBH regardless of intent. It absolute worst it'd be ABH and even then prison time is unlikely.
So they aren't the same, as you suggested.
Ticket pricing structure is stupid though, that much I agree with. My regular commute into university is £1.40 each way, or £1.60 return. I think that a price per mile fee should be introduced, but this would cause all sorts of issues and would only really work in localised areas.
Depends on the seriousness of the injury caused in Wizzfizz's theoretical situation.
Really think that 8% is worth mentioning?
I missed the theoretical situation.

To think, all this could've been settled by simply phoning ahead and having the Transport Police meet the guy at the station.
As I said earlier, I've sat for literally hours on a stopped train waiting for the BTP to come and pick up some dumbass.
Wouldn't be ABH or GBH as these don't exist in Scotland
Serious assault or just Assault dependant on injury.

I hate conductors, not because they're all see you next tuesdays, but because of one particular jobs worth. I ran for a 9am train, jumped on as the doors where closing without a ticket as I needed to travel, but was unable to move through the train to see the conductor because it was packed standing room only. At the gate to leave I explained my case to another conductor who fined me 20quid. I didn't try to jump the gates, I was in a suit so clearly wasn't a tramp, and was asking to pay my fair.
Would he use his brain and discretion, would he **** ****
