My thoughts too - anyone care to venture an opinion?

Can't comment on the PC version in terms of performance, but as a game it's fantastic. There is literally so much content it'll make your head spin -- story missions, activities, collectables in the world, hidden sub-activities. The best £2.50 you'll ever spend on a game.

This ^^^

I loved Saints Row the Third but Saints Row 2 has a lot more stuff to do, you will be playing for weeks.

But from what I understand the PC version is not a great port performance wise, but for £2.50 and use the code in steam it has to be worth seeing how well your rig runs it.

Is Saints Row 2 good or should i just put that £2.50 towards number 3?

Sorry not played it myself , read a review on gamespot that echoed the thoughts here - that it was a reasonably good game spoilt by a poor port but that review was obviously written on 2009 hardware so it might be ok now.

Still for £2.50 I'm going to give it a chance lol

No i agree with tidusjar, thats just lazy programming. The textures arent high res at all it looks shocking. no need for a 25GB download - thats crazy and even worse for a 2 year old game.

BF3 was about 14GB. Skyrim was like 7GB. There's no need for any game to be 25GB in size! Ridiculous. Looked at some textures and they're not all impressive.

Is the Saints Row 2 deal Steam compatible?

Awesome thanks. THQ reckons I need to add £3 so I can download it for upto two years. I removed this and paid just the £2.50, it then gives you a link to download the .exe to start the download, it also gives you the key. I put the key straight into steam and now I can download via steam instead :)

Sod the extra £3 they wanted so I can download it for the next two years.

What is the Extended Download Service (EDS)?
EDS essentially allows you to download your purchase again for up to two (2) years, in the event your computer crashes or the downloaded file becomes damaged or corrupt. It can be thought of as an insurance policy in case anything goes wrong with your computer or the downloaded product. When you have downloadable items in your order, you will see a link to add EDS to your order on the shopping cart page or the checkout page. Upon payment of the specified fee, Digital River, Inc. ("DR") agrees to provide you (the "End User") a service that enables the End User to make multiple downloads of digital computer software products (a "Product" or "Products") purchased in a single order (an "Order") and downloaded from this Web site (the "Site") for a period of two (2) years after the date the End User purchases the Product (the "Service"). Click here for full details about EDS.
