Been wet shaving for years now, but due to my skin being sensitive I only shave once a week.

If I shave more than this, my skin gets irritated, spots, cuts, rashes etc etc etc...

However this mean I look OK for about 2 days, and then as my stubble starts growing I slowly turn in to a tramp!

I need a recommendation of a very good quality electric razor so I can keep my growth in check..

I’ve had electric razors in the past, but they have been the cheap variety and so where complete crap.

obligatory 'use the search function' post (I joke, couldn't care less but I'm sure someone will moan as someone always does).

But seriously, I use a wilkinson quattro, no frills, £8 with a electric trimmer and a razer on the other end, £6 for a pack of 4 blades as and when you need them.

has done me proud!

Have you considered a beard trimmer and just keeping it really short, ie grade 1? I have found I can get a rash on both electrics and blades but since keeping stubble, it is a thing of the past. And the girls like it.

I like to clean shave. In other words shave it all off. Problem is I have sensitive skin, meaning I shave once a week.

Would like to shave more regularly but would just destroy my skin if I tried.

So electric shavers arent my solution?

Also dont actually understand how they work, with the way they are shaped.

I think I currently have a 5 blade fusion.

I have sensitive skin and always wet shaved with a gillette in the shower.
Last year my partner bought me a phillips electric, one of those waterproof ones with the gel inside. Those nivea gel things for it are expensive, so I just use shaving foam now.
Works a treat for me, I still wet shave once a week (You can't get as close a shave with an electric.) and keep on top of things daily with the electric, with a quick rub over in the shower.
It was very slightly uncomfortable the first few times around my Adams apple, though no rashes e.t.c. and got used to it with no problems.
