Anyone still buy real Christmas trees anymore?

Not for a couple of years now, had a sapling in the garden that is big enough now to bring in for the festive weeks and then replant it after. Saves money.

I have a real tree. It's just under 6ft and cost me £40 from the local farm. I'm a complete Xmas freak so it has to be a real tree for me.

I used to go hunting around for large trees and it became too much of a hassle. Got a beautiful artificial one from John Lewis a couple of years ago and haven’t looked back since.

Always been fake here. Having never had a real one, I always think they look a little odd when I see them at friends houses.

Real tree every year. Local country house sells them much cheaper than any garden centre. We go and walk round their tree nursery and pick the one we want and they cut and bind it there and then for us.

Really dint like fake trees. They don't smell right!

Never had a real Christmas tree - ours lives in the attic in its box (like many others I'm sure) for 11 months of the year!

It's bad enough having to contend with my cat who likes to try and demolish the "fake" tree every year without having a real one for him kill :p

Always a real one, never a fake.

When I was a kid we had a fake until it fell apart and never got replaced, so we had real ones for most of my childhood too.

Every Christmas that's been at home has had a real one and we never get it till everyone is back for Christmas (usually the end of this week from uni's and things), untill then its just not even slightly Christmas :)

Can't wait for Saturday and that real tree smell

We haven't got room for a big real one unfortunately, and whilst I'd love one, we wouldn't get to enjoy it that much as we're out a lot.

From an ecological and practical point of view, a "nice" plastic tree is good enough for the moment.

Once we have a bigger place - with tall ceilings and more space I shall push to get a real one! :p

House is decorated though! :D

<3 Christmas!

The ones grown in the UK are usually rubbish compared to other places:

We have always had real trees but the last few years we had trouble getting them home and so been using a fake one. It isn't the same without a real tree.
