Just got the kit today first game i put on was cod4 60fps wont go past 60 just stays 60 all the time same as mw2,3, bf3 and bc2 i cant get any to go above 60 what am i doing wrong ?

60fps per eye; the game renders 60 frames, the driver middle ware splits this with a little magic into left/right outputs for each eye and alternates the display really fast giving up to 120Hz of individual frame data.

so no matter what i will never go above 60fps no matter if i was using 3 garphics cards in 3d?

Well the monitor is incapable of displaying more than 60Hz (per eye) or 120Hz overall.

However, so long as Vsync is turned off, the game doesn't have a framerate limiter and your graphics card is powerful enough to drive it - then games can run much faster framerates than the monitor refresh rate. Though it usually won't make any difference in the smoothness of the game -since the monitor can't refresh fast enough.

For playing modern high-end PC games like BF3 and BF:BC2 (COD not so much) in 3D on a GTX 480 then I reckon the "issue" is that the performance is limited by the graphics card.

I'd sit in the "you won't notice it going faster" boat. I'm not quite down with the "no more than 25fps" but you'll certainly be doing very little viewing of frames past the 50 mark.
