Ordered my first detailing products from CYC this week, some alloy wheel cleaner to remove the brake dust, and Meguiars NXT All Metal Polish, to get those tail pipes sparkling again...

CYC were slightly cheaper than Halfrauds so thought I would go through them, probably didn't work out cheaper after having to pay £5.95 on delivery though, but I still went ahead as I couldn't find Wolf's De-ironiser anywhere else, and was happy with the next day delivery service (saves me going to halfrauds).

Well it's now the next day and I haven't received my items, who are being delivered by DPD, I usually have good service from them. Checked the tracking system, and they haven't even moved from the sorting facility never mind made it to my local depot ready to be given to the driver.

Can't say I'm best pleased with this service, has anyone else ever had trouble with CYC? Also another other websites/shops to buy the stuff I need in future?

Hold on, you say the items are stuck with DPD yet you are unhappy with CYC ?

Once they pass the package over the the courier what does it have to do with CYC ? Have you spoken to them to check dispatch time? or are you just deciding they are rubbish because DPD are being slow with your parcel ?
 
CYC claim all orders made before 2:00pm will be delivered the next day. I ordered before 2:00pm on W̶e̶d̶n̶e̶s̶d̶a̶y̶ Tuesday 13th.

CYC only gave the products to DPD on T̶h̶u̶r̶s̶d̶a̶y̶ Wednesday 14th @ 18:41.

So yes I am unhappy with CYC...

you should be unhappy with DPD :) not CYC because they have dispatched the products on the day they were meant to theres no time slot to dispatch them on and if DPD messed up this time its their fault not CYC.

Dont mean to nit-pick, but if it was the 14th, that was Wednesday - as today is Thursday the 15th.
 
It's both companies fault, but I put most of the blame on CYC for offering "next day delivery" when it's not.

CYC didn't even give DPD the chance to deliver the product on the 14th when it was expected.

Having said that DPD should have delivered today, which they haven't.
 
Have you taken it up with CYC ? If those date/times are now correct they should probably refund the delivery at least. Just to check, whats the wording on the DPD site for collection from sender, as sometimes it doesnt show as the first item , and makes it look like slow dispatch.

Copy and pasted from the tracking info on DPD. The parcel is now in Birmingham, further away now than when it was collected!!!!
 
Ah fair enough, I would be on the phone to CYC and see what they have to say, then moan at DPD too for a laugh.
 
I'm still not sure why you're annoyed with CYC?

They would have passed your delivery to DPD when the pickup driver arrived. Many couriers collect quite late into the evening..CYC have no control over this. If DPD have arrived so late that they couldn't get your package through their system in time then surely that's their fault, not CYC's?

I would have assumed CYC would have informed DPD on Tuesday 13th that the parcel needed to be collected? Surely with having a contract with them DPD should have came on the day to ensure they would deliver it on Wednesday 14th.

So either CYC didn't tell DPD until Wednesday 14th that the parcel needed to be picked up.

Or

DPD are incompetent of picking an item up within 24 hours!

Either way CYC need to get a new contract, I'm actually surprised they don't offer free delivery, seems to be the norm with most companies nowadays.
 
Surely giving CYC a call rather than having a moan on here will solve your problem quicker?

I have contacted CYC, awaiting a response.

I just wanted to moan on here to see if anyone else has had issues before? I couldn't find anywhere else to get Wolf's De-ironiser from, so also wanted to know where everybody gets theirs from.
