dont have any photos to be honest it was the last thing on my mind and the police would not let me go near it when i went back .but if any ones in the wakefield area now its worth poping down to asda at duuker the bomb squad are there now with police sould be a good show ...

just started to dig it after geting a good signal.but wernt too sure what it was untill i got my hands around it and pulled it out..was about 2..3 lb's

Pretty cool and I'm glad nobody was hurt. Let us know if the cops tell you any more information.

Someone I know once sent me a phone pic of a grenade, asking me if it was real (I'm a war nerd). A kid had brought it into his school and the staff were trying to work out what to do. One of the female members of staff was so sure it was a toy she actually kept tapping it against her desk!

Needless to say, I took one look at it (it was metal, heavy, corroded and could very well have been real) and told him to call the police immediately!
