Power Supply Question

You should be able to fit most PSUs in most cases.

If I where you I would get a good PSU now, and use that when you upgrade in the future.

You should also build your own rather than pay a premium for Packard bell and similar systems, that really arent premium in any way except price.

In theory yes, but some manufacturers like Packard Bell, HP & DELL do make certain cases which have unique PSU, Having looked at the web I think your system takes a STD ATX PSU. Which then should mean pretty much any PSU will fit.

I will not recommend a 600w PSU for that price as they will be inferior and poor quality models, can i ask what upgrades your making to your pc.

I would personally not touch that PSU.

(Not Loke's linked PSU ;), The updated OP.)

Q6600 quad core
nvidia 9600 gs

230w power supply
MB:
Packard Bell BV
PT890-8237A

For a PSU and 4g ram im looking to spend around £100

Phew, was thinking you knew something about XFX supplies I didnt and looked at my new rig with a bit of dread for a second :D

Ha ha, I have been temped in the past to get a XFX modular PSU, You can breath easy :D

No real reason, always tried to use Corsair in the past. So tend to stick with them or what-ever memory is cheaper at that particular time.

Edit: The PSU would be major overkill, unless your upgrading the whole system to dual high end gpu's :)

Ok, eventually i would like to upgrade more but it will not be anytime soon. Just wondered if why its on sale it was worth the purchase

Being non modular you will have a mass of cables, but for the price you cant go wrong.

But as I already mentioned would be overkill unless your running dual high Graphics like the GTX 580 and X79 system.
