So Majong is publishing a game which has just been released in alpha state, its the same sort of deal with minecraft in the way that you can buy it cheaper in alpha and still receive all the updates. Currently its 9.95€.

Admittedly i dont know much about this game apart from what i've seen in trailers and the like. So i thought i would create this thread to see if anyones picked it up.

Below i have included the trailer.

And heres a link to the cobalt site.

So Anyone tried this yet?

It isn't really by the makers of Minecraft, they're just publishing it. (Sorry)

Looks interesting. I need to see a "WTF is..." though.

ah ok, i will edit my original post in a sec, yeah im also hoping that totalbiscuit will do a wtf is... can normally get a good idea of a game from one of those.

I'll be honest. It looks crap! Just sayin. But then again so did Terarria and I LOVE that :)

Looks fairly fun but I'm not exactly impressed by the complete lack of online multi player.

The "release an alpha early" model worked really well for minecraft due to the type of game it is but I'm not so sure about a game like this.

Also, I really hate the art style. Not particularly sure why.

Yeah this is one big thing that ive just noticed is that it only has local multiplayer no lan or internet :( i will most likely not buy it till the multiplayer is implemented since i was looking forward to doing co-op with friends over the internet.

Same for me, looks neat but it isn't the kind of game I would play solo.

Was all ready on the preorder when I saw no online play - are they mad! dev has posted some ways they may do it but tbh it has to be embedded from the start to work easily, they'd have sold a ton with proper online support
