Right well the head unit didnt last that long, coming back from the shops today I hit some oil covered drain covers which took me sideways on the road and head first into a wall and tree...

No injuries just a big bump on the head and a bruised ego... am absolutly gutted.

An oil covered drain cover? You sure it wasn't just a conventional wet drain cover, nemesis of RWD car owners and motorcyclists everywhere? :p

Sorry dude, what I meant is that there was a couple of patches of oil after the drain covers which happened to be perfectly placed so that both rear wheels were on a drain cover each around a corner. :(

What is worse is that the press turned up and started taking pictures, looks like I could be in the local paper.

Where abouts were the badgers located? :)

As everyone says cars can be replaced etc etc, I'd still be gutted though!

Least you are ok :)

It looks quite a large tree too... it must have been quite a crash!

The main thing of course is that you are OK, but you have now presumably got the unenviable job of trying to get your insurance company to give you enough cash to buy a comparable replacement.

It looks as if it was a nice car too! :(

So that is the result of driving over a drain cover at 34mph?!

These Porsches are death traps

I blame the summer tyres, winter tyres would have been fine :p

Chin up mate, sit back let the insurance sort out the rest. At least you're not injured from it. Looking at the pictures it could've been a lot worse.
