Which 2.0 Speakers ?

Looks like they are out of stock atm :(

The 1600s are decent, unless thunderous bass is required you will struggle to better them for under a few hundred.

Been looking for the same recently. The R1600T's get great reviews. Maybe also consider the Microlab SOLO6C's, not so many reviews of these tho & their a bit bigger & 50W per channel.

+1 to the Edifiers, I absolutely love mine. As said the bass isn't going to shake the house, but I feel it's a balanced amount that sounds and feels just right :)

^^ Bass does pickup a bit more substance once you've put around 100 hours through them - think the drivers are too stiff out the box or something - but its never going to shake the room. However the reproduction is very good - nice and neutral and very adustable to taste if it wasn't for a few very minor issues they'd easily command several times the price tag.

ETA is 3rd Jan now! I had to wait a week or two when I ordered mine, they're either flying off the shelves very quick or hard to obtain in large numbers?

Some people remove the plug from the lead, and fit a UK plug. I did raise the question before in previous thread, does removing the plug void the warranty? Nobody seemed to know, that I recall.

Either that, or an adaptor.

I and others, forgot to mention the two pin plug :o At least you would have been prepared then. Sorry. :(

Hey not having a go at you mate or anyone else who recommended these, :D just think if something is being sold in the UK then you should sell it with the correct plug  I also bought a Samsung S27A950D recently from Overclockers and it came with an adaptor, but I was left wondering how come it had a two pin power lead, why not a three pin UK power lead? I don't know maybe it's just me and I'm not up to date and this is now the standard. I myself think it should be stated quite clearly that it comes with a two pin power lead saves any hassle. I will try and pick up an adaptor next week. :)

Another +1 for the Edifiers. I purchased a set for my wife's PC and they are a vast improvement over the Boston Acoustics setup from before.

Mine also came with a euro plug, but I had one of those over the plug adapters. (Google "Euro 2 Pin to 3 Pin Converter Plug / Adapter - Black CP1").

I want to get the Edifiers...but can't find one for around £60 ish :(

Wharfedale Diamond 9.0s would be an alternative. Can be had from £40...

Then drop £20 on a tripath amp from the bay and voila.

Its the set-up I got for Christmas, and the 9.0s are really really rather good - they surprised me.
