Hi all,
I've just bought a Crucial RealSSD M4 512GB (firmware 0009) as an upgrade for my 2009 17" MacBook Pro.
I'm currently running 10.6.8 but will be upgrading to Lion 10.7.2. I have a couple of questions:
* By upgrading straight to Lion do I need to do anything to enable TRIM in OS X?
* Is there anything else I need to be aware of? I read somewhere that incremental system updates will disable TRIM support so you have to re-enable again - anyone know about this?
Thanks for any replies - sorry if these questions have been asked hundreds of times before, just new to the whole SSD thing - been reading through threads but I've found no definative answers anywhere. Can't wait to see the boost its going to give my machine
