I have got my TWO one today. Unpacked and a quick look over (need to look better) looks great and nothing I can see wrong. Will look better when the kids are in bed.

Was built on 11/2011 so a new batch.

my three arrived today! been at work so my gf opened one to check it, it's also 11/2011, so hopefully shoud be dust free. i'll check the others tomorrow...

Very tempted with the price of the glass fronted but worried i might have issues with am ATI 5770. Should I be?

Prepared to look at a new card in the new year but couldn't afford both right now.

You will for sure struggle with a single 5770 playing games. I would maybe hold out for the new ati 7 series.

So the 7 series so due out in about 3weeks?

I could wait for gfx card it it'll at least let me browse, is the ATI firmware thing from earlier in the thread still an issue?

There have been rumors of a limited 7970 release on the 22nd of this month. And I have no idea about the firmware issues.

i bought 3, all had a manufacture date of 11/2011 and all 3 seem perfect. i haven't looked for dead pixels or dust from an inch away though because if i can't notice them from a foot away, (which i can't) then that's good enough for me!

Yes it is. I have been awaiting a reply from Hazro for over 6 months now on this issue as I am affected. This is the reply I got today.

We are still waiting on AMD to offer a fix on this. Back in September, we had a meeting with AMD at IFA Berlin and were told it would be offered by the end of the year. This issue is cause for concern for many and we have escalated it to the highest contact and will be updating customers shortly.
Hope this is helpful and please reply above if you have any further questions.

I'm not expecting anything as its already been a huge amount of time since I bought this monitor. I'll probably end up buying a new GFX card to resolve this before AMD decide to release a firmware fix. Notice there is no mention on how they will contact customers that are affected let alone get the fix from AMD!

I can see my bios. 6950s

Thats because your running a 6 series card its some of the 5 series that are affected, 5870 being one (certain revision of it at least)

Let me add that not only do I not see my BIOS but plugging in the monitor makes my machine go into a reboot cycle, you can leave it to load into windows then plug it in and its fine but no BIOS

Nothing on screen? When did you install the new drivers then? On your old monitor?

Search back on this thread for my posts - I had some very weird non-displaying type issues when I got the monitor first. Can't remember how I resolved it, but maybe my posts will give you a clue.

Can you see the BIOS? Have you tried both DVI ports to make sure you are using the Dual-DVI one?

Hi
Believe it or not mine arrived today, couriers doing extra deliveries,

Unfortunately I have a large speck of dust in the lower left corner just above the Task Bar and a line of dead pixels on the mid right of the screen.

Date of manufacture is 11/2011.

Other that this it is a nice panel, shame the QC isnt what it could be,

RMA in the morning

EDIT: On further viewing with the torch on my phone there are a lot of dust specks under the panel, and the dead pixels are in fact a small scratch or imperfection on the panel under the glass. Boxing it up and back it goes

No pics for examination.

Hi I installed the new drivers when I could not get anything on the Hazro had to connect my old monitor to the GPX card it has two Dual-link DVI ports still no joy. I have tried both DVI ports with the Hazro cant see nothing I can only see the BIOS on my old monitor when it is connected When I first powered on the blue LED was flashing then turned solid blue as pc booted the led screen seemed to go a bit brighter but no picture. I then connected my old NEC Multisync to the other DVI connector on pc got windows desktop on that. The device manager on win 7 says Generic non-pnp monitor for the hazro, I made sure win 7 is up to date, I did a clean install of the latest Ge-Force driver 285.62 then played around with the desktop resolution managed to get a fuzzy desktop repeated 4 times on left side and 4 times on right side at a setting of 1280 x720 (I know this is a incorrect setting) my old NEC is 1600x1200 working Ok. Do you think the monitor is faulty as win7 sees it as a non-pnp monitor? my graphic card spec has dual-link DVI x2 max resolution of 2560x1600 so should be up to the job can you please help me?
