with all the stuff with hospitals these days , i think i am going to be left to die if i dial 999 and say i have chest pains, they cleary dont care anymore and nothing is done about it to the hospital , you are just another body...
what do you think?

yes i know but i am talking about hospital care which is paramedics included, they will come and do nothing i am sure of it, they've seen it all before why save another life?, the world is beyond repair now i tell you..

I must say I work in my local hospital and this is a load of ****.

All Hospital staff have a duty of care to up hold and we do our best to do it.

People moan about hospitals and stuff and I understand why I honestly do, you go to A&E
and have to wait your turn etc etc..... Your so much worse than everyone else and
that's what everyone else says as well.

Look at it this way though, If you have chest pains and you don't call an ambulance that
can get you to trained hospital staff that have in depth knowledge about medical problems
then chances are then you will be really really ill and then at worst you could die.

So yes you may feel like hospital staff/paramedics don't help you fine, but you need to
help yourself as well and don't be so stuck up.

If you are on the phone with chest pains its quite apparent that you are probably not having or had a heart attack since you can still talk on the phone. The person on the other end of the phone will assess the level of response you require and an ambulance will be sent to you based on the symptons you describe. The ambulance will be given a green or red priority when told what them are coming to, this tells them if they can put the siren and lights on basically since red if concidered critical. At least thats what I believe correct me if I am wrong.

Being a volunteer community first responder in the lancs area i would tend to disagree!

and im sure the rest of my team would too...

chest pains are taken very seriously..

It's really easy peasy OP, if you don't get a proper duty of care just put a claim in.
You should have been in my dept over the last week where every every Manager of every major department had to pass a type of OFSTED done by the NHSLA so that the Trust hit a proper duty of care.
Getting less than 10 is not good enough and all those departments will have to get their house in order.
This goes throughout the whole of the country so they do try.

You can get up and walk around whilst having a heart attack.

I stand corrected. I should have actually remember this becuase we has a lady that work who everyone thought was having a panic attack and it turns out she was having a heart attack. I suppose I was trying to put across a worse case senario.

Actually chest pains is like a top priority call

Yup, having dialled 999 for chest pains quite a few times in my job I can say that the pattern round here is that a first responder estate car is usually on scene within five minutes with the actual ambulance only a few minutes behind.
