hospitals these days

Also, I've been to hospital with chest pains myself (turned out I had an anxiety attack) and everything was done as it should have been, I was assessed and categorised, placed in the queue correctly and dealt with properly.

It might seem like you are dumped in a bed and left to it, but behind the scenes the cogs are still turning for you. :)

If you are on the phone with chest pains its quite apparent that you are probably not having or had a heart attack since you can still talk on the phone.

lollll

My dad had a heart attack and he phoned for help, it's perfectly possible. A paramedic arrived pretty much instantly and a full ambulance a few minutes after that.

7 minutes it took them to respond to my call while advising on the phone clearly, then three paramedics (one in a car) CT scan within 50 minutes, transferred to Neural-specialist hospital within 2 hours and brain operation successfully done within 24 hours.

That's a whole lot of 'not caring' done by the NHS there. It's thanks to their care that my dad is home to watch his Grandson open his presents.

yes i know but i am talking about hospital care which is paramedics included, they will come and do nothing i am sure of it, they've seen it all before why save another life?, the world is beyond repair now i tell you..

99.9% sure you're trolling. However the next paragraph is just in case you're not trolling, and are in fact just an idiot.

They'll save your life because they are paid to do it. Because they (mostly) are good people and want to do it. And because if they didn't, they'd get sued and jailed.

So one time I snapped my little toe on a sofa and was in a huge amount of pain. I went to a&e and had to wait for ages with my toe killing me. After about an hour a woman runs in carrying an unconscious kid in her arms shouting "will someone please look at my little boy".

A nurse came out and they took the kid in, everyone else waiting kind of looked around at eachother, silently seething with anger at this queue-jump they had just witnessed.

People complaining about the NHS are retards. It's a fantastic service that is overworked, underfunded and plagued with constant fears of job losses, hundreds of thousands of drunkards, and public hatred. My brother is a paramedic and works more than 50 hours a week of night shifts in London, answering calls and saving peoples lives. Mostly, he gets absolutely zero thanks and in fact often gets abuse from drunk people on their night out, vomiting everywhere and then calling the ambulance to look after them because they are incapable of being responsible enough to do it themselves.

I think a reducing course of chlordiazepoxide wouldnt go a miss! mate you need some sunshine in your life!

Also a nurse, my first duty is to you the patient, even off duty, I have an oath of duty!

My wife and 2 daughters wouldn't be here if it wasn't for hospitals, I have almost lost my eldest daughter twice... How can you thank people for saving your child?

Having spent a lot of time in hospital for my daughter I think on the whole hospitals do a great job, however they have made mistakes with us but we are only human and we make mistakes. The reason the mistakes have happened is due to my daughters complex needs.

A&E is what let's it down unfortunately, yes you will wait a long time unless your unconscious or have low sats but there are a lot of time wasters (drink and drugs addicts) that go and that's why you will be waiting most of the time.

Paramedics have been brilliant and arrive within 10 minutes.

Just my opinion. :D

+1 to that post mate, I'm sure there are hundreds out there though that will
moan about our standards of care, and i bet 90% of them need a chlordiazepoxide
regime as well.

Read and learn.

The chances of your broken toe killing you are vanishingly small. The chances of an unconscious child dying are considerably higher.
