Because when i feel the drink a little bit, I stop and drink soft drinks. I've always gone home in total control of myself and never once felt drunk. I don't see the point, you can have a perfectly immense time sober.

It takes me loads to get absolutely drunk so there is no point even trying as i'd rather spend my money on other things like gaming PC's.
