"with all the stuff with hospitals these days"

what stuff? give a million people 5* service and there will always be some that complain (not saying its like that i dont know)

" i think i am going to be left to die if i dial 999 and say i have chest pains"

why have you had it happen already?

" they cleary dont care anymore and nothing is done about it to the hospital"

what makes you say this have you dont a study on the matter or something?

as an intensive care nurse. im going to say your talking out of your arse, but its not my opinion that matters its the user experience! but youll notice that only negative user experience is televised or put in the papers, I would love to here some of the positive outcomes published or ranted about!

Agreed

My misses is a Nurse, you would not believe the amount of stuff she has to do and put up with

On topic... I genuinely believe that every effort will be made to save me. On the occasions I've needed urgent hospital treatment I have received fantastic care and have nothing but praise for everyone who worked there.

However I'll probably die of hospital induced MRSA once I recover from the cardiac arrest :(

Or an EA brand defib: spend $10 to have a faster working defib, and a minimum $2 per use.

No no. The doctor would be using it in local coop which has always been free. :p

Its hardly fair to blame the nurses alone when its just the hospitals fault. When my grandad was in they didn't have anything anywhere so the staff would be aware he was completely deaf so pretty much all the nurses and doctors would be attempting to talk to him...

I'm one of those awful senior hospital manager people and have had many conversations with the local media about why they only ever release negative reports about health care. Basically, they have a blanket ban on publishing any positive reports, letters etc about the local hospital simply because they receive so many of them. Work that one out

Well look at stafford hospital... thats my local one and im **** scared ill end up there. Been a few times and its dirty and the staff are mean and rude! (not all the staff but ive not met the nice ones)

Trouble is hospitals up and down the country now have so little money, and nurses stretched so thinly they get stressed because they cant look after their patients properly.
I think there are some fantastic nurses they are just worn down with constant government cuts backs no staff and no support from managers.
