I need a replacement for my Saitek Cyborg keyboard as I've had two of them become faulty in about 3 years now.

This keyboard has two USB plugs plus audio and mic plugs that connect to the back of the PC, giving it a powered USB output, plus headphone and mic connectivity through the soundcard all on the keyboard.

I really want another keyboard that has this, are there any others that offer powered USB and audio outputs like this one does?

Logitech G19 doesnt have audio jacks, just USB, and the audio jacks are more important.

I wouldnt pay that much for a keyboard that cant include powered audio jacks as well.

The Lycosa is only available in blue backlighting, I should have mentioned that I want red :(

But I've had two of these Saitek keyboards and neither could last 2 years of use.

I can actually wait to buy one, I can assign CTRL - Space to a macro button, of even just to the CTRL button in the software and see if that works in Guildwars, which I just logged into for the Xmas event and CTRL-Space is needed for pinging enemies.

Or I can remap the command inside the games control settings I think.

CTRL - Space and Shift - Space are faulty, I'm also waiting for Madcatz technical support to reply to see if they know any simple fix to it.

I diagnosed, but cant fix the problem with the macro software:

The top line is what happens when I press shift - space / ctrl - space, a whole load of junk.

The bottom line shows that both these commands work normally when assigned to a macro button.

Qpad mk-85

This thing looks nice, but I actually dont have any money to spend after getting that crazy M4 512 Gb SSD :(

I found a temporary solution:

I will get something new in April from the interest on my ISA and use this fail keyboard until then.

Merc stealth might have what you are after, it def has usb and pretty sure it has the audio. It also has big wasd keys to the left of the normal keyboard for keyboard turners like me :)

WOW I have never seen that one and I am a keyboard turner too:D, has audio and it all connects throught the usb connection too. Think I need one of these myself:)

Best option without breaking the bank is a logitech G110 keyboard. Sadly OcUK do not have it.

Seen it for as little as £49.99

The USB and audio jacks on this are unpowered, otherwise it would be perfect.

Why cant anyone get gaming keyboards right these days? A powered USB port and audio jacks that plug into the soundcard plus customisable backlights and macro function ... If Saitek can do it for £50 why cant anyone else?

...... THIS. IS. WOWOMGGIMMEHNAOW!

Two USB 2.0 ports alongside a microphone and headset jacksprovides a better connection, resulting in a faster response time from your keyboard and the connected devices to your computer.

I just need to look for a picture of the cables to check that its all powered.

Sadly, the USBs are unpowered:

Two dead in 3 years so far though :(

that is your answer to why no other manufacturer is trying to do so much on such a tight budget... the quality has to go down to offer so many features - hence the reason they break so quickly :(

Know what you mean but tbh it's not easy getting a proper powered hub into a keyboard from a single usb connection. I have never seen a powered usb hub come without a mains adapter.

I know Saitek managed it but then it could be the reason they keep breaking lol

The G19, Corsair K90, and Razer Lycosa all have it though.

The USB hub isnt powered from a single USB connection, it has two USB connectors, one for the keyboard and one for the keyboards USB output. Think of it as a USB extension cable running through the keyboard.

But my first gen Saitek Eclipse lasted for 4 years, its just this Cyborg V7 that keeps breaking. I'll wait and see whats available in a few months time and use my <£5 backup keyboard till then.
