Hi,

Thinking of going up the London Eye with the family in a few weeks.

Noticed when booking online it asked for a time slot. Anyone know if that is the time we get on the London eye or just time to pick up the tickets and will have to queue afterwards ??

Thanks,

I've never seen as long a queue as the one for the London Eye. This was in August, though. We got off the clipper there and it seemed as though the whole of London was the queue for the Eye.

We where quite lucky and walked straight on. Spent the entire time sat down as I'm not great with heights.:o

when I went there was a time on our tickets but we walked in early with no bother.
I think they expect most people to keep to the time and spread customers out

In the 3/4 times I've been, I've never bothered buying tickets ahead and at most the longest I've had to queue there is 10 minutes.

Same: tickets, 10 minute 4d crap video, get on, Crap self for the 33 minutes or whatever it takes, get off, feel happy to still be alive.

I thought it was over priced and quite boring. The queue was very long when I went (2007).

But, I would still suggest doing it if you hadn't before...

Queue times depend when you go. I went in the summer last year and queued for over half an hour. Went again in october this year and only queued for just over 5 min. Both days were Saturdays

Yeah, I've been on it.

I was surprised at how good an experience it was; I thought it was going to be a yawn-fest.
