Hi.

I need to bring over some speakers I just bought in Texas. Does anyone know of a good service thats not too expensive? I would like to pay 200 to 300 quid if possible.

Air freight is the quickest but unless it is quite small but really dense it will need to go by crate/pallet and probably in a wooden container etc etc.

Reckon you can double that shipping price easily if by air.

Boat is your other option.

You really need to get in touch with a local shipping agent to where you will be shipping from.

Unless it is coffin related in which case....

100kgs of speakers?

You bought them without knowing how to get them here?

yes, well I had a quote from DHL for 500 quid so I was willing to pay that if I had to but I would like to pay as little as possible. d

I made such a HUGE saving on the cost of the speakers it really made it worth it.

Scrutinize - this was my thought, does anyone have shipping company they use or recommend?

does the 300 quid include the VAT?

Buy them a plane ticket and put them next to you on your next flight :O

If you are willing to wait then the local port might be able to help you with shipping. Where you taking them UK or Czech Rep?

I am in no rush.

They need to come to the UK. I have in the past shipped over 1500kg by boat to czech and it only cost me 1800 USD for a 40ft container so It must be possible to them over without paying silly money.

As a company we use a shipping firm called Woodland Global when we send pallet quantities over to the US. Could try them to collect? I think £250-£300 +VAT will be about the going rate.

No. It does not include the amp. It does not include the VAT. And it's not meant to include me getting the hump with your stupid questions.

Do you have the packaged dimensions, because many companies charge either actual weight or dimensional weight depending on which is higher. To calculate dimensional weight multiple height by width by depth (in cms) and then divide that by 6000.

I don't think you will get much cheaper than the DHL quote for something that size. Most pallet couriers will charge you for lorry to pick up in US to take to airport, then charge for air/sea freight, then charge import duty and VAT (with extra for processing fee), then charge for lorry to more from UK airport to your house.
Companies like DHL/UPS/FedEx have drivers out in the local area already so won't charge for specific lorry to pickup or drop off.

Does the company you bought it from not have a courier they use? They may have reduced rates.

Dress them up as Daleks and have them put in economy seats. Nobody will ask to see their tickets for fear of extermination.

colombian/mexican drug mules TBH, you might loose 1 out of 5 but the profit will still be amazing

Don't you always do this? Buy things going ridiculously cheap but that end up being a pain the ass? :p
