*****Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Thread*****

OK - going to try and re-phrase my earlier question as it didn't attract much in the way of replies :)
Who here is playing on a PvP server?
Is it a free for all on any planet except the starter ones and any level can attack any other level?
Or are there any kind of restrictions?

Back with a PhD and ready for some Frostclaw/Kellian Jarro action :D

Edit: Queues seem significantly reduced this evening! Think I will wait for Frostclaw (says 30mins, we will see!)

And still no one answers :P My noob answers will have to do.

1. I/Black Sun Pirates are on a PVP server.
2. Its not free for all, more team death match? Republic vs Empire. Your PVP is toggled off during the starter zones. The first time i came across any Republic players was early 20's. But even then leveling from 20 - 25 i saw none when questing. As far as ganking goes either the Republic side is non-existent or i'm not in the right area.

Not sure about any restrictions.

You lot gonna post some pics in the screen shot thread or what???????

Congratulations :)

Thanks :)

Guild chat isn't working for me.

Queues seem much, much better tonight. Got through 500 in Frostclaw in 10 minutes - don't mind that at all tbh.

Edit: I love these threads:

I rushed, that's not the point. I am the only 50 so flashpoints are a no go right now, as is Ilum PvP. I am still exploring, but maybe I missed something here? I found 2 level 50 quests....is this correct? My crafting is maxed.

I didn't play the Beta so I may be missing something. But is there really only Flashpoints, and PvP for 50's? I rushed because...that's what I do. But I figured there were some long quest lines to do at 50....

lol, just lol :D

Not had to queue once on the Kellian Jarro server, now a level 12 bounty hunter, but everyone else from Ocuk has rolled republic on the same server :(

Need some sleep, plus guild chat has died for me, so apologies if it looks like I was ignoring you.

My last chance to play would be the morning, but it is down for maintenance :( - so see you all online on the 27th/28th :D

Not on the same server, but congratulations on the phd and enjoy your break from tor (well you can try :P )

Does anyone have any idea when the standard edition is going to be back on origin to purchase?? So stupid for it to sell out!

is it just me or are jedi sentinels really weak in both pve and pvp compared to the rest

I think it is more that ranged are all OP at the moment.

They either need to buff the melee or level out the ranged, its especially ovious with the jedi sage/sith inquisitor.

I do know what you mean though, my main is sentinel and at times its bloody frustrating how weak they can be.

That sums up the modern day mmo player.

Whine to make it easy (they did reduce xp requirements) burn through all the content with no life to get to max level.... then complain there is nothing to do.

Moron!

I tended to plow through levels on WoW, except for my very first character. Even then though, I had a constant drive of 'must hit this level!'

So far on TOR, it almost doesn't feel like an MMO. I'm taking my time, loving the story and just casually levelling up. I managed 12 to 13 in an hour of playing tonight, and that suits me perfectly!

I'm finding I'm too higher level after finishing balmora I arrive at the next planet at level 25 doing lvl 20 content. If its true they lowered xp requirements then they cocked up the balance.

I'm on the Chundar server.
In PVP events, we seem to pawn the empire more than not, from the ones I've played in, however, I'm worried if the server isn't as packed as I'd like it.
