My laptop has Intel Core 2 T5800 @ 2.00 GHz

My laptop is 3 years old but I upgraded to an SSD and upgraded the CPU from a T2390 to T8100. The T8100 is VT-x capable too. Very pleased with the upgrade

I may have to dig out my old Dan technology Intel 486, was the Dogz B in it’s day, cost me about £1600 :-/

Working machines only or else I'll be up in the loft too :D

I have a system used for internet browsing:

Pentium 4 - 1.2ghz.
256mb RAM.
20GB HDD.
Geforce 2.

It's a "Tulip Systems" computer. I believe it came from a school. Must be at least 8 years old. It used to run Windows ME too, but I recently replaced it with Ubuntu + LXDE. It's perfectly capable as an internet browsing machine TBH but the IDE hard disk really slows things down.

It's got a pizza box case as well.

I wonder if it's slower than the Pentium 3 systems posted? Good old early Pentium 4 :D

Nope, yours is light years ahead of mine. You have more memory and even have a decent graphics card.

Interesting. If I recall though, early Pentium 4s are pretty dreadful.

I just opened the case about five minutes ago out of curiosity and discovered an extra 256mb of memory lying in the case for no apparent reason, so I guess it has 512mb now :D

The Geforce 2 is pretty amazing.

The Pentium D/Celeron chips were some of the worst I thought, they ran silly hot and were very slow :P

The oldest rig I own (currently living under the stairs, not really used anymore)..

P4 2.8Ghz
Some awful motherboard from an awful Medion computer :p
512mb Generic DDR
ATI Radeon 9550
All in some nasty cheap piano black case :p

I still have my very first windows PC in the loft lol, I'm going to check later if it works still.

Intel Pentium 133Mhz O.C @ 500Mhz 66Mhz FSB (this O.C was done in 1998 using the latest coolers at the time)
32 Mb Kingston SIMM
16 Mb onboard graphics
8 Mb Sound Card (unknown brand)
350watt Dell PSU
Dell Case (may have to use this to build a sleeper with an i5 or something)

Windows 95

Intel celeron of some description
256mb ram
40gb hdd
Xp

I've been using it as a table to put my coffee on, it was a crap spec when I bought it, christmas and birthday present one year though.

You have a dual core CPU!! If we were placing everyone on a scale I would guess you would be just on the low side of the middle. There's still a number of people on here with single core CPU's and at most dual core.

EDIT:

On another note your CPU was released 13th July 2006, which only makes it about 5.5 years old.
