Mk1 Focus 2litre vs 1.6 or 1.8

When I had a 1.6l mk1, I only managed around 35mpg combined at the best of times. Either way you will be disappointed with the power/economy ratio so just get a 2.0l.
 
Well it was a right dog, showed 4083 miles on the clock, so something wrong there maybe new ecu fitted. Some chav had obviously had it as it had some nasty mods under the bonnet, different tyre on each corner.

Decided im going to wait a couple more months and look for an ST170.
 
May have had the clocks replaced, I know mine did before I picked it up. They were going to leave it all zeroed but I asked for it to be reset properly.

I'd not bother with the ST170, disproportionately high fuel and insurance costs for the power it has.
 
Well after all that went for a 53 plate 1.6 LX. Only 47k on the clock, and its mint condition. Nice and cheap as well considering the millage and condition.
 
£2k its getting a full service including all belts, and water pump, new spare key. Get a free mot when its up end of march as well.

Was just too much of a good deal to turn down.
